Small-business owners and workers without pension plans or 401(k)s probably will in the months ahead.
It’s an idea designed to take some of the pain out of setting money aside for retirement for people who might not be saving anywhere else for life after paydays.
Part of President Barack Obama’s fiscal 2010 budget, the proposal would require employers who have more than 10 people on the payroll and have been in business for at least two years to offer their workers a retirement savings option through payroll deduction.
