It won’t launch until later this year, but soon we’ll have a web portal containing resources for retailers looking for information on sustainability, all courtesy of the Environmental Protection Agency.
From the Retail Industry Leaders Association:
The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) is excited to announce the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) commitment to launch a retail specific Web portal that will streamline information gathering on environmental sustainability and compliance issues. The Web portal is set to launch late this year.
RILA, along with other retail industry representatives, have been collaborating with the EPA over several months to create this ground-breaking Web portal.
“Sustainability is a key issue and a top concern for RILA and our member companies. This portal will serve as a clearing-house for information to further advance the industry’s efforts to apply sustainable practices,” said Senior Vice President for Retail Operations, Casey Chroust.
The Web portal will centralize information regarding environmental compliance, sustainability and pollution prevention practices applicable to the retail sector. The Web portal will provide easy access to all retail-related environmental compliance information within the EPA’s Web site.
