If you’re going to be in the Atlanta area May 10-12, consider stopping by the Small Business Conference & Expo, sponsored by the US Department of Energy’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization.
The business conference this year, the 11th, will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center.
For 11 years DOE has hosted this event to assist and educate small businesses on how to do business with this federal agency. The conference will feature general sessions, educational workshops, a large exhibit hall with more than 200 exhibitors/sponsors and matchmaking sessions. More than 1,600 attendees will represent all levels of the federal procurement community, small businesses, prime contractors and government agencies.

There will be a full day of business matchmaking sessions, face to face meetings that are invaluable in forging alliances between small businesses and government agencies, prime contractors, institutions, and large businesses. Each matchmaking session may open up endless opportunities by providing small business owners with exposure to potential procurement officials.
The conference’s Website doesn’t seem to be operational at the moment, although by the time you’re reading this, that might have changed. We found information on it through Indiana Country Today.
