Looking to give your Wordpress posts a boost when it comes to search engine standings? Give Scribe SEO a shot.
As described by Michael Gray in his great Graywolf’s SEO Blog, Scribe SEO can take a lot of mystery out of how a potential search engine spider is going to view each and every one of your blog posts.
The tool gives you an overall score, a breakdown on keywords, suggestions for tuning your focus into/out of keywords, and a SERP preview. The last tab gives you some general overall SEO guidelines to keep in mind. Are there other tools out there that can give you this information? Absolutely. But can they give it to you right in your dashboard, before you publish, and without a lot of copying and pasting? Nope.
A great tool, but you will pay for it with a monthly charge (varies depending on how much you use it, starting at $27/month) that is well worth it if it can help your post rankings with the search engines. A big plus here is that you can go back and run it to help optimize earlier posts.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThat’s a fair chunk of change for a plug-in, although maybe I’m just biased because I’ve never had to pay for a Wordpress plugin.
Still, you might be better off boning up on the latest SEO techniques rather than trusting it to a glorified script.
Not to put down the plugin — it sounds great — but schooling yourself on what search engines look for and like can only help you in the long run. Just my 2 cents.
